Scope and Contents
39 born-digital photographs documenting graffiti artwork created by members of Buildings and Grounds circa early 2000s-2015, located in Foundation Building basement. Graffiti consists of "Building and Grounds" with mop and broom illustration juxtaposed with plastic skeleton sculpture on motorcycle; "CU" written atop of New York Skyline; a memorial to 9-11 depicting a scroll with text reading "In Memory 9-11-01; and text reading "Buildings and Grounds" along with an illustration of a sun, skyline, and rocks.

Biographical / Historical
The Foundation Building - where the graffiti documented in this collection exists - was built in 1853 to house the classes, library, and other business of The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. The building was gut-renovated in 1972.
