The Records of the Cooper Union School of Art date from the founding of The Cooper Union in 1859 through current day, and include annual reports, meeting minutes, faculty lists and CVs, publications, statistics, and accreditation materials. This collection also includes records pertaining to The Cooper Union's teaching of architecture, which was part of the Art program until the School of Architecture was formed in 1975.
The Records of The Student Union of The Cooper Union is comprised of minutes, correspondence, questionnaires, and newspaper articles regarding the Student Union, its history, and involvement with the institution.
This collection contains publications produced by students of The Cooper Union from 1904 up through the present day. Subjects covered in these publications include art education, mathematics, politics, the experiences of foreign nationals studying in the U.S., student organizations, poetry, and humor. The long-running student newspaper, The Pioneer, is cataloged seperately.
